Help your UCF Alumni Lake County community by taking a private tour at the historic Howey Mansion and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the beautiful town of Howey in the Hills!
The 100th Howey-In-The-Hills Founder's Day will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the lawn with music, food and an Artisan Market of over 50 vendors. Our private reception with free hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the self-guided tours taking place from 4 to 6 p.m. The Howey Mansion has been fully restored to its original grandeur, taking its rightful place on the US National Registry of famous and historic US landmarks. This 24-room mansion was built by William J. Howey, one of founders of the Florida citrus industry in 1925 which has entertained US Presidents and notable figures from Florida's past. It even features its own "Speakeasy," if you know the secret panel to knock on and the password (psst...it's our mascot).
