THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a seasoned fundraiser or passionate about philanthropy? The University of Central Florida Foundation is excited to invite you to embark on a rewarding consulting journey with us. We're looking for dedicated professionals or consulting firms to serve as independent contractors to help us expand our philanthropic reach in strategic markets.

 

As a valued consultant, your primary mission will be to assess and unlock the immense potential for philanthropic support to the University of Central Florida. Your efforts will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our institution.

If you reside in or near any of these vibrant regions, we want to hear from you: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Naples, FL; San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, CA; and the Washington D.C. metro area.

 

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

To ensure your success, you'll need your own electronic equipment, internet access, and travel arrangements. In return, we are offering competitive compensation for an anticipated workload of 10-12 hours per week.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five years of sales and/or fundraising experience.
  • Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention, growth, and recapture, and proven success with complex requests is required.
  • A current valid driver's license and a good driving record is required.
  • Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences.
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of office systems: MS Office and fundraising database systems (e.g., Blackbaud CRM, Raiser's Edge).
  • Great interpersonal skills, commitment to the cause, and adaptability.
  • Fundraising and sales expertise in the communities mentioned above are highly desirable.
  • Travel: Frequent travel within the region(s) assigned is required.
 
 

ABOUT US

We are a powerful team of professionals transforming lives through soliciting, accepting and managing gifts as well as engaging alumni, donors and future donors. 

Our division comprises the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, UCF Communications and the UCF Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to help donors wishing to offer private support to deliver resources beyond traditional funding sources. 

Together, we work with alumni, friends, corporations, parents and others who seek to make gifts in support of priorities and initiatives in alignment with the university’s strategic plan.
