UCF’s Faculty Cluster Initiative links faculty from all twelve of UCF’s colleges, and several institutes and centers, to solve today’s toughest challenges. The faculty are conducting cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research and education to make positive impacts across the globe and to promote UCF excellence.
The University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Center for Integrated Coastal Research (UCF Coastal) serves as a champion for the coast, advancing knowledge, innovation, and solutions that match the scale and urgency of today’s coastal challenges. By integrating science, engineering, policy, and community engagement, the Center connects research with real-world decision-making to strengthen resilience, protect ecosystems, and support sustainable coastal economies. Leveraging UCF’s location, partnerships, and strengths, the Center delivers impact locally in Florida, nationally across the United States, and globally, helping shape a more resilient future for coasts and the communities that depend on them.
Donations and philanthropic gifts directed for this Center help fund:
• Interdisciplinary research combining biology, engineering, sociology, economics, and urban planning to tackle coastal hazards and climate adaptation.
• Community outreach and education initiatives addressing issues like sea-level rise, flooding, and ecosystem preservation.
• Training programs for the next generation of scientists and resource managers.
