The emerging excellence fund for the jazz studies program at UCF is an investment in sustaining the legacy of the American spirit imparted through the lens of jazz music.
Your gift to the fund will support the creation of works for performance and instruction, fees to conduct master classes, performances by outside artists, travel to performances, educational and recording opportunities, and musical instruments and related equipment. Gifts will also provide scholarship and financial awards related to jazz studies at UCF.
A generous and dedicated donor established the Jeffrey M. Rupert Jazz Studies Excellence Fund to support promising musicians. The donor has pledged up to $100,000 as a dollar-for-dollar match. Thanks to this generous commitment, you can double your impact to support UCF’s budding musicians.
There are many ways to give, including via check or through a donor-advised fund. (EIN 59-6211832)
Checks may be mailed to UCF Foundation, Inc., 12424 Research Parkway, Suite 250, Orlando, Florida 32826. Write "Jazz Studies Excellence Fund" in the memo line. For more information on ways to give, please visit: https://ucffoundation.org/types-of-gifts/

About the Jazz Studies Program
The jazz program has 29 years of educational offerings for all UCF students, with continued outreach to the community. The program produces more than 40 concerts a year featuring student group performances -- on campus, throughout Central Florida and on the national stage.
Internationally acclaimed jazz artists interface with UCF students throughout the school year, and 12 UCF jazz albums have been released in as many years on UCF's record label, Flying Horse records. Three of these albums have climbed to No. 1 on the national jazz charts and achieved worldwide recognition of the UCF jazz studies program.
"The jazz performance embodies self-governance in action," says Jeff Rupert, Pegasus Professor and Director of Jazz Studies. "Herein lies the American founders’ intent for a more perfect union, in practice. In part, UCF jazz studies’ endeavors help frame the American experience through education and Central Florida’s indelible contributions to this vital American artform and legacy.”
