Students Working to Advance UCF and The Knight Community

UCF student ambassadors contact alumni and parents to build relationships, provide information about the university, answer questions and promote investment in the institution. Ambassadors also ask alumni and friends for updates on their careers and contact information.

UCF’s Knight Line, a student-staffed fundraising and engagement program, employs a team of 30 Knight Line Ambassadors who call alumni and parents primarily in the evenings and on Sundays during the fall and spring semesters.

Ambassadors’ primary mission is to strengthen relationships between alumni and UCF. They share news about the university and ask alumni for updates on their careers and contact information.

Of course, Ambassadors also promote philanthropic support for UCF, and the Knight Line program is one of the university’s strongest annual fundraising efforts. Gifts support numerous priority areas across campus, from student scholarships to faculty excellence to Knights athletics.

We’re very proud of the work they do, but their success is hardly a surprise. After all, who better to ask for an investment in UCF than a student who is currently benefitting from philanthropic giving?

'Care Calls' Temporarily Replace Fundraising

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Knight Line Ambassadors have stopped soliciting gifts. Instead, Ambassadors focus on “care calling,” simply visiting with alumni, parents and friends, answering questions about UCF, and asking about the wellbeing of those they speak to. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Knight Line Ambassadors have made some 16,000 care calls.

Don't Miss Our Call!

Knight Line Ambassadors call from (407) 882-2113. When you see that number, we encourage you to pick up! Even if you don’t plan to make a gift, our students love to hear alumni stories and words of advice and also to share the latest from campus. Remember, too, that these students are helping pay for their own education by devoting their time to advancing the university we all love.

Fulfill Your Pledge

In some cases, alumni complete their gifts over the phone with Ambassadors securely processing their payment information. In other cases, alumni verbally pledge to make a gift. For you convenience, you may fulfill your pledge online whenever you wish.
