AREAS OF SUPPORT for knights affected by covid-19

College of Nursing Student Emergency Assistance Fund
This fund provides tuition and educational expense support to nursing students in need. For many students, navigating the sudden changes in learning, work and lifestyle brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging. Many students have been directly impacted by the pandemic with job loss and reduced hours and unable to pay for their tuition expenses. Funding UCF received from the CARES Act will not support tuition and fees so this fund could bridge the gap for students.

Dean’s Excellence Fund – COVID-19 Instruction Support
This fund will support the College of Nursing as it implements innovative ways to offer virtual learning and expanded simulation offerings during the COVID-19 pandemic. When students are able to safely return to on-campus learning, they will need to strengthen their skills and knowledge for this rapidly changing healthcare environment. Innovative simulation-based learning will ensure students are fully prepared to provide real-world care. This type of instruction requires additional faculty, adjunct faculty and staff time.
